On May 4, 2013 the individual and team air rifle shooting championship took place in Komsomolsk-on-Amur with the participation of the student team of ASUHP

Verbovsky Sergei, Sat Eres, Shinakov Maxim, Ziminf Olga, the students of Theory and Methods of Physical Education and Sport Subdepartment and Varanitskaya Lyudmila, a student of Geography Subdepartment led by associate professor Karas T.Y. demonstrated a high level of marksmanship. More than 20 teams including specialized military-patriotic clubs participated in the city championship. It was rather difficult for our students to compete with the professional shooters, but they showed worthy individual results. ASUHP team was presented with a letter of acknowledgment from the competition organizers.
