The report on the director's style of Wes Anderson won the "Scientific Battles"
On Saturday, April 23, the next student "Scientific Battles" took place at ASUHP. This is a popular scientific event of a new format, held at the Pedagogical University for the fifth time. "Scientific battles" give participants the opportunity to maximize their creative potential, show off their oratory and share knowledge from the field that is interesting to the speaker himself.The consequence of this format is the variety and brightness of the themes of the speeches. This year's "Scientific Battles" were no exception: the topics of the reports ranged from the influence of language on human thought processes, to the use of computer games in the process of teaching history, and from the wonderful movie worlds of Wes Anderson to expeditions to study the red planet. The expert jury and the audience, after hearing the reports and throwing difficult questions at the contestants, jointly made the final decision.
The places were distributed as follows:
– The fourth place was taken by Evgenia Kataeva (POio-21 group) with a report: "Studying history through computer games and TV series";
– The third place was taken by Zakhar Kiselyov (POTI-21 group) with the report "Vikings on Mars";
– The second place was taken by Ilya Seredenin (POIA-23 group) with a report: "The hypothesis of linguistic relativity";
– And the winner of the fifth "Scientific Battles" was Alice Stahl (DGD-24 group) with the report "Visual features of Wes Anderson films".
