On May 17, 2022, 1st-year philology students under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Literature and Russian as a Foreign Language Elena Andreevna Nezhivaya showed a performance based on the play by the Greek comedian Menander "The Grouch" as part of the study of the discipline "Foreign Literature". The actors managed to vividly demonstrate overcoming the obstacles standing in the way of two lovers – the young man Sostrat and the daughter of the main character Knemon. Such a form of a performance lesson is aimed at obtaining practical skills by students based on knowledge of the specifics of the ancient Greek theater, as well as at developing the creative abilities of future teachers of literature.
