Quiz "The life and work of Agatha Christie" on Faculty of Philology and Intercultural Education
On September 20, 2022, a quiz dedicated to the 132nd anniversary of Agatha Christie's birth was held at the Faculty of Philology and Intercultural Communication as part of the cultural and educational events plan of the Department of Romano-Germanic and Oriental Languages.The quiz is dedicated to the life and work of Agatha Christie, the world-famous writer of detective novels, listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the best-selling author in the world. The quiz was conducted in English among first- and second-year students of groups LG-19, POia-13 a, b, LG-29.
After answering the quiz questions, solving puzzles and a crossword puzzle, which were prepared for them by students of the LG-39 group Milena Kovshova and Lilia Marchenko, the students got acquainted with some interesting facts from the biography and work of the writer. Now the guys know the answers to such questions as: "Why was Agatha Christie included in the Guinness Book of Records?", "Which flower was named after the writer?", "What height will the American version of the book "Peril at End House" reach if all the books are stacked?".
