Teachers of the Department of Romano-Germanic and Oriental Languages, with the assistance of teachers and students of the Harbin University branch in Rongcheng, held a teleconference "Russian-Chinese Student dialogue".On October 22, 2022, teachers of the Department of Romano-Germanic and Oriental Languages held a teleconference "Russian-Chinese Student Dialogue" on the basis of Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy. The purpose of the event was to highlight the socio-cultural aspects of the life of Russian and Chinese students, as well as the development of cultural dialogue and international youth cooperation.
The event was attended by students of ASUHP, who study Chinese, as well as students of the Harbin Technical University branch in the city of Rongcheng, who study Russian. During the teleconference, the main directions of cultural and leisure activities of students from Russia and China were discussed. FPIC Chinese studies students Olga Polishchuk (POia-43), Nadia Nefedova (LG-29), Ksenia Tabaeva (LG-29) and Elizaveta Fedunova (POia-33) spoke in Chinese about such leisure activities for modern youth in Russia as participation in cosplay, board game championships, attanding music concerts, speaking clubs for learning foreign languages, and more. Students from China spoke about the fascination of modern Chinese youth with computer games, role-playing detective games, sports and music, and more. The participants were asked questions about the topics of the reports, thereby confirming the interest and desire of the students of the two countries for interaction and live communication. The students found a lot in common in the field of leisure activities of modern youth of the two countries, in addition, they learned a lot of new things for themselves both in the linguistic aspect and in the aspect of modern culture of China and Russia.
For educational purposes, teachers, together with students from our university and from a Chinese university, have created a group chat on a social network for information exchange and live communication between students.
The participants of the teleconference expressed a desire to repeat the event. Therefore, we hope that this format of interaction between students from Russia and China will take root and become traditional.
