The master classes "Traditional art of the peoples of the Amur region: ornaments and embroidery" were held as part of the vacation school of the Department of History, Philosophy and Law
On November 2 and 3, the Faculty of History and Law hosted master classes on "Traditional art of the peoples of the Amur region: ornaments and embroidery." The events were held by Inga V. Filatova, Associate Professor of the Department of History, Philosophy and Law, as part of a vacation school for students of Secondary School No. 42 (6th grade), Secondary School No. 32 (7th grade) and Secondary School No. 16 (10th grade). All 45 students took part in the event.During the master classes, students were able to get acquainted with the traditional ornamental art of the indigenous peoples of the Amur region, its origins and current state. The students were shown samples of Neolithic ceramics decorated with a pattern, sculptures of small shapes, decorative and applied arts. The students examined the main types of decorative seams and practiced the skills of embroidery with a smooth seam on the flooring of an ornamental image of one of the main representatives of the lower aquatic world – a turtle.
Marina L. Evsyukhina, director of the Municipal Educational Institution of Secondary Education of the Nizhnekalbinsky rural settlement of the Komsomolsk district, and Natalia S. Serova, a technology teacher at the same school, representatives of the indigenous peoples of the Khabarovsk Territory, assisted in conducting the master classes.
