Students of FTED and IPAP supported the action of their teacher of fine arts D.I. Dushkin "We do not abandon our people!"

On November 25, a personal exhibition of Dmitry I. Dushkin, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the International Association of Artists, a teacher of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Technological Education at ASUHP, a teacher of fine arts and technology at Secondary School No. 42, head of the Pencil art studio, opened at the N. Ostrovsky Library. The name of the exhibition says, "We don't abandon our people!" The exhibition will stay in the city for only two days, and then go to Donbass. It was originally intended by the author for those who defend our spiritual values and principles there today, as well as our sovereignty. The exhibition is a gift from the artist to our soldiers, who defend them with weapons in their hands, and to those who live in incredibly difficult conditions in the DPR during these difficult times. It is an expression of his spiritual and civic position.
At the opening of the exhibition, the Mayor of the city, A.V. Zhornik, and Deputy Chairman of the City Duma V.V. Bocharnikov, Military Commissar of Komsomolsk-on-Amur S.N. Menshikov, priest of the Amur Diocese Alexy Arkhipov. Each of them expressed their support for the active position of the artist. The mayor of the city presented D.I. Dushkin with a letter of thanks, and Father Alexy blessed him for the successful holding of this socially significant action. He stressed that Russia has always been strong in its spirit. As during the Great Patriotic War, as in 1812, as in earlier times. That's how it should be now. Russian people have always been distinguished by their spirit, and being Russian is not about a national trait, but always about kinship in spirit.
The exhibition was warmly welcomed by the audience – military personnel, the intelligentsia of the city, veterans and youth, among whom were students of the Faculty of Economics and IPAP. D. Dushkin's works are made with gel in the technique of graphics, compositionally based on the juxtaposition of black and white, Darkness and Light. And the subtlety of the lines, the clarity of the elaboration of the smallest details and strokes fills the drawing with air, gives it volume. The titles of the works were also surprisingly thoughtful – "Battlefield", "Bogatyr XXI", "The enemy will not take", "Plate of War", "Wagner", "Russian World", "Holy Russia". They are unexpected and sometimes oxymoronic, but this reflects the originality of the author's artistic vision. For students studying with D.I. Dushkin, it was interesting to discover him as an artist, as a master, but something else also became important – an example of a teacher's civic engagement.

The students warmly congratulated D.I. Dushkin on the successful opening of his personal exhibition and wished him further successful implementation of his planned campaign "We do not abandon our people!"
