The Youth Forum of the Indigenous Minorities of the North was attended by a representative of the ASUHP

From November 22 to November 25, 2022, the Forum of Youth of Indigenous Minorities of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation "Russian North" was held in Salekhard. As a result of the All-Russian competitive selection, Dmitry Beldy, a student of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education, gr. SPOfk-28, a representative of the scientific and Educational Center for the Development of the Nanai Language and Culture of ASUHP.
Dmitry took part in the track "Preservation and popularization of the linguistic heritage of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East", in which the participants talked about the preservation and popularization of their language. The participants were given a course of lectures on the development of grant projects.
The extensive program of the event included a trip to the camp, where biathlon competitions, sledding, and chum construction took place; acquaintance with the traditional cuisine of Yamal; reindeer sledding; fitting national costumes and photographing in them.
The forum included workshops on board games and hand-to-hand combat, concerts with national bands, and an ethnic disco.
According to Dmitry: "I really enjoyed the event, with its warm welcome, rich and interesting program, and acquaintance with people of different nationalities! The opportunity to communicate on equal terms with the participants and speakers of the event. I have learned a lot of new and interesting things, and the information I have received will be useful to me for the implementation of future projects in order to preserve and popularize my native language!"
