Dear friends! Today, our entire country celebrates Russia Day—a holiday that symbolizes the unity of our people, the greatness of our history and confidence in the future. This day reminds us of our centuries-old traditions and the heroic deeds of our ancestors, which laid the foundation for modern Russia. We take pride in the heroes who defended our Motherland in difficult times, the scientists who advanced progress, and the creators who glorified our national culture. Their legacy continues to inspire us to this day. Special words of gratitude go to parents and educators who raise the new generation. It is within the family, kindergarten, school, college, and university that love for the Motherland, respect for its history, and the desire to work for the good of the country are instilled. Our mission is to provide children not only with knowledge, but also with strong moral values and to teach them to appreciate the opportunities that Russia offers. I wish you good health, peace, well-being, and new achievements for the prosperity of our great country!

The coming of the New Year with its fabulous, mystical atmosphere has captured the actors and the audience, students and teachers of FPIC. N.V. Gogol, M.Y. Lermontov and F.M. Dostoevsky appeared in a strange and fascinating act, composing a New Year's greeting to Emperor Nicholas II. The critic D.I. Pisarev was visited by ghosts – Tatiana Larina, Katerina Kabanova and Olga Ilyinskaya, offended by his articles. Then there are the heroes of various classical works of 19th-century Russian literature (G. Pechorin, R. Raskolnikov, Manilov, and others) turned out to be participants in an Agatha Christie-style investigation conducted by Erast Fandorin. It all ended, as befits a New Year's Eve party, with an extraordinary fortune-telling on "literary cards." The students' performance was remembered for its excellent directing and acting work. But most importantly, it showed that future teachers of Russian language and literature had mastered the educational material perfectly.
